Hi, I'm Erika Wolter.
When I was 11 years old, I joined a jump rope team called The Brampton Acro Ropers. This launched my athletic career in the competitive jump rope world. For 17 years, I competed. Being apart of this sport gave me so many opportunities. I was able to travel all over Canada and the United States as well as travel to Cape Town, South Africa to compete at worlds where I came home with a gold. My last year of competition was my best year overall. I finished first overall in the individual category at every competition. Regionals, Provincials and Nationals. That year will definitely be one of my proudest achievements. I competed with teams and we would have to work together to place in the certain team categories. I also coached The Brampton Acros for a few years, which helped with gaining better leadership, communication and organizational skills. Being apart of the sport of jump rope has taught me a lot of the skills I use today. I learnt discipline and dedication, teamwork and leadership, how to take constructive criticism and how to take a bad day competing and grow to become better, instead of letting it tear me down.
I am a recent graduate from the Mohawk College, Graphic Design program. I have spent 2 years learning the in’s and out’s of photography, developing a greater skill and understanding. I have also spent 3 years honing my skills in the Adobe Creative Suites programs and design principles. Being in full-time school for the last 5 years has taught me how to manage my time properly while having 2 jobs as well.
With my extensive schooling, experience in other jobs and experience in an organized sports team, I am confident in my qualifications for consideration. I have samples of my work available and have my resume attached. I look forward to hearing from you and being able to discuss my qualifications further in person.
